Bretforton Village School Friends Association – Notice of Annual General Meeting
The Friends Association AGM is scheduled for Thursday 30th July at 7.30pm, meeting to be held by Zoom video conference due to current circumstances. All are welcome to participate.

At this meeting the Friends Association Committee for the 2020/2021 school year will be elected and we are inviting nominations for the following posts;
Chair: The Chairperson’s main responsibilities include running all Friends Association meetings, overseeing any event sub-committees and maintaining the momentum for fundraising throughout the school year. The Chairperson is also an official registered trustee of the charity.
Vice-Chair: The Vice-Chair co-ordinates teams of volunteers and acts as deputy to the Chair, particularly to progress broader Friend Association initiatives.
Secretary: The Secretary’s roles are minute taking at meetings, producing and distributing Friends Association paperwork, maintaining noticeboards, advertising events where appropriate and general administration tasks.
Treasurer: The Treasurer is responsible for coordinating and recording all Friends Association monies including float provision, banking monies, issuing cheques and producing regular simple accounts. The Treasurer is also an official registered trustee of the charity and is responsible for ensuring accounts returns are formally registered with the Charity Commission.
These Elected Officers work together as a team to ensure smooth management of the Friends Association. They rely heavily on the continuing support of all parents and staff for our increasing success. In addition to these Officers, we have positions for general Committee Members.
Committee Members are expected to attend meetings, assist in organisation of events and are eligible to vote on all Friends Association matters.
