Challenge Partners review success
Bretforton Village School - Area of Exellence in Environmental Education
In school last week, we had some visitors from the Challenge Partners organisation. This is a national network of schools, which we are a member of, who review schools and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, leadership and other aspects of a school’s provision. We are delighted with the feedback we have received from the review team that has quality assured our own judgements of how well the school is doing and has also suggested ways that we can further improve over the coming year. Additionally, we have been accredited as a school with an Area of Excellence in our provision of Environmental Education as a means to support learning across the curriculum. This is due to the very hard work that Miss Ellis has put in over the course of 12 years to ensure that Environmental Education is not a bolt-on to our curriculum, it is an integral part of it. Well done to Miss Ellis for her hard work during the review. The accreditation is a reflection of her commitment to the school and your children over a substantial period of time. Well done also to the Eco Team and Pupil Parliament who represented the views of the children so effectively and were able to articulate everything they enjoyed here at Bretforton Village School.
